The Katherine Legge Memorial Park (Legge pronounced "leg") is located on 52 beautiful acres of woodland and serves as the home course for Hinsdale Central Red Devils Cross Country teams.
The land and facilities were donated to the Village of Hinsdale in 1973. Alexander Legge was President of International Harvester. He and his wife, Katherine, originally developed the property as a weekend escape. Their ultimate plan included the construction of a home on the site. Upon the death of Katherine in 1924, Alexander established KLM as a retreat devoted to rest, recreation and welfare for women employed at International Harvester. The Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge was designed by architect, R. Harold Zook and built in 1927. The first floor of this English-style building provides a spacious living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, restrooms and office. The second floor is a large ballroom with fireplace which was used for recreational activities.

Greene Valley Forest Preserve corner of Hobson Road and Greene Road: Drive West on 55th street to Rt 53. Turn left on Rt 53 to Hobson Road. Turn right, go 2 stop lights. Turn left on Greene Road. Entrance is about a 1/4 on your left.

Proviso West Campus on Wolf Road: Drive East on 55th Street to Wolf Road and turn right. Stay on Wolf and the High School is on your right.

Village Green Park on Lambert Road: Drive North on Rt. 83 to Roosevelt Road and exit West. Roosevelt Road to Lambert Road turn left about 1/2 mile. Village Green Park is on your right.

|
Oakton Ave, Niles: Drive North on I-294 to Dempster exit East. Dempster to Rt. 21 (Milwaukee Rd.) turn right. Rt. 21 to Oakton turn left to the Niles West High School campus.

East End Park in Elmhurst: Drive North on Rt. 83 to St. Charles Road and turn right. Take St. Charles Road to York Road and turn left. Take York Road North and follow the "by-pass" around the downtown area to Schiller Street. Turn right on Schiller and follow this street to East End Park.

On the South Campus, Willow Springs Road: Drive East on 55th street to Willow Springs Road (Gilbert) and turn left. Stay on Willow Springs Road to the campus of Lyons Township High School.
